Broadway Sales Begin Springtime Upward Trend

Yes, it is true that Broadway show sales peak during the Holidays, and yes it's true that sales dive around mid-January. But it's also true that Broadway has it's own sort-of Spring revival and the grosses this past week prove that point. Playbill.com points out that the 5 highest Broadway shows that were sold out, calculated by seating capacity percentile, were The Book Of Mormon, The Elephant Man, Fish In The Dark, The Audience and finally Cabaret. Fish In The Dark is the rookie here, and opened February 2nd  and is scheduled to run until June 2nd at the Cort Theatre. The average ticket price for Fish In The Dark last week was $134.00 and the highest price paid for a ticket to the show was $423.00. If you need a reminder, Fish In The Dark is a comedy written by "Seinfeld" co-creator and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Larry David. Larry also stars in this show as well. It is also his Broadway debut. These five shows are currently the ones selling out and tickets to the peak performances can be difficult to get. Main Entrance Tickets is a viable option for all your Theater and Family Event options and you can save 10%  off every theater ticket listed on our site.
